Investment for transAI
Accelerating the digitalisation of the manufacturing industry
“Many manufacturing companies risk missing the digitalisation wave. To remain internationally competitive, it’s essential to increase labour productivity,” says Frank Dikker, co-founder of transAI. “Our platform helps entrepreneurs tackle that challenge by making factories smarter. This includes, for example, enabling data exchange between different machines and software systems. We can link, visualise, and make that data usable for decision-making.”

Digitalisation for a Future-Proof Manufacturing Industry
“Many manufacturing companies risk missing the digitalisation wave. To remain internationally competitive, it is essential to increase labour productivity,” says Frank Dikker, co-founder of transAI. “Our platform helps entrepreneurs tackle that challenge by making factories smarter. This involves, for example, enabling data exchange between different machines and software systems. We can link, visualise, and make that data usable for decision-making.”
Investment Enables Scaling Up
Thanks to the investment from Oost NL and Wadinko, transAI can expand its development capacity, increase the number of standard integrations in production processes, and scale up its commercial activities.

“For us, the investment comes at the right time. In recent months, we have made strong progress, partly thanks to launching customers such as Betech and DG Steel. The investment from Oost NL and Wadinko allows us to further improve our platform and take new steps forward,” Dikker explains.

Sander de Boer, Investment Manager Tech at Oost NL, adds: “Without solutions like this, SME manufacturing companies risk falling behind in a rapidly changing industrial environment. By investing in TransAI’s platform, we are supporting an innovative company with the goal of advancing the entire sector.”

Astrid Kempers, Investment Manager at Wadinko, says: “We are investing in TransAI because their solution can be applied to manufacturing companies that form a vital engine of our regional economy. These companies fit perfectly within the Wadinko portfolio. We were very impressed by what we saw at the launching customers. It’s great to be able to collaborate with Oost NL on this case.”
Embedding in the Regional Ecosystem
As part of the financing process, Wadinko and Oost NL contributed their expertise in financing strategy and governance. Once on board, topics such as strategy, scalability, and commercial development will also be addressed. Wadinko and the Innovation Fund Overijssel are funds with the Province of Overijssel as their shareholder.

In addition, the company benefits from a strong regional knowledge infrastructure around Smart Industry in the eastern Netherlands, including collaborations with Novel-T and the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform.
